The Locations
Double Island Point
Located within a protected National Park and accessed via an unforgettable 4WD drive along Teewah Beach, Double Island Point offers a diverse and remote natural classroom. With calm lagoons, open ocean, headlands and striking coloured sand cliffs, students can explore multiple ecosystems in one location.
This area is also rich in Indigenous cultural significance, with strong connections to the Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi people, making it an ideal setting for both environmental and historical learning.
Wildlife commonly observed:
Bottlenose dolphins, turtles, rays, humpback whales (seasonal), fish, seabirds, soldier crabs and more.
Noosa Biospere Reserve
Sheltered and tranquil, the Noosa Hidden Waterways in Noosa Heads provide an ideal learning environment for studying estuarine systems, mangroves and biodiversity. The calm conditions allow students to slow down, observe closely and develop a deeper understanding of ecosystem interconnection and sustainability.
