Double Island Point Surf Break
Double Island Point, within Noosa’s Great Sandy National Park, offers a long sandy point break perfect for learning and improving surfing skills. The longer wave break allows more practice time for both beginners and experienced surfers. This remote and pristine location is one of the safest and most rewarding places to learn, thanks to its 4X4-only beach access, ensuring plenty of empty waves. We help you progress with skills like board handling, pop-up technique, wave timing, and more advanced maneuvers.

Is this surf lesson kid-friendly?
Absolutely! Our surf lessons are very family-friendly and are a great way for kids to experience the ocean in a safe and supportive environment. Double Island Point is the perfect place to learn for young kids, because the wave is very beginner friendly.
For children under 8 years of age joining a group lesson, we require a parent or guardian to assist in the water with the kids as well. This helps ensure younger children receive the extra attention they may need, as the instructor will also be supervising other participants in the group.
Our instructors are experienced in teaching children and will always adapt the lesson to suit the age, confidence, and ability of the group. If you have younger children or would like advice on the best lesson option for your family, please get in touch and we’d be happy to help.
