Explore the magical Great Sandy National Park & Double Island Point the eco way in search for dolphins on our fully guided ocean kayak tours. Double Island Point is home to large bottlenose dolphin pods, migrating humpback whales, six of the world’s seven marine turtle species, manta rays, sting rays, soldier crabs sometimes in their thousands as well as many local & migrating bird species.
While dolphin & wildlife sightings are highly frequent, each experience is unique. We follow a highly professional eco-tourism approach that allows guests to enjoy what the National Park naturally offers on the day.

The most frequent dolphins are Bottlenose dolphins. We also sometimes encounter the more rare Australian Humpback dolphin.
Being wild, dolphin spotting on any day vary. Sometimes close to shore, other times further out. The protected bay offers good ocean kayak conditions to encounter them. We encourage on open mind on any wildlife encounters as they can vary as it is although frequent not in the guides control.
Please bring what you would usually bring to the beach e.g: towel, sunscreen, water, camera, change of clothes. Some extra food is recommended.
Departure times from Noosa Heads vary daily and are generally set around the low tide.

Absolutely! This tour is very kid-friendly and is a fantastic adventure for families. Children often love the wildlife encounters, beach driving experience, and time to enjoy a little play on the beach at Double Island Point.
For children under 7 years of age, we simply ask that you let us know when booking so we can ensure an appropriate car seat is available in our vehicles. It also helps us keep an eye on conditions leading up to your tour. If the ocean or weather conditions are expected to be a little rougher than usual, we may contact you beforehand to discuss the suitability of the tour for the kids and, if needed, arrange an alternative date to ensure everyone has the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

In the water we had a pod of dolphins visit us and Vince showed us green turtles. Superb! A fantastic experience where the dolphins are in charge of approaching you.
