Are you a surfer? Bring your surfboard!
At Double Island Point, the surf is uncrowded, compared to the busy Noosa points. The long sandy point break has waves that seem to go forever!
This location is not easy to access for most visiting Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, because you need a 4×4 vehicle and National Park permits to get there.

Play & Explore Tour Details
This tour departs Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast from one of our 6 pick up points in Noosa. When you book your tour, you’ll have to choose a pick up location. If you want to change the pick up location on your booking you must contact us at least 24 hours prior to the tour’s departure. Please meet 15 minutes before departure at your pick up point.
Departure times vary daily as a result of tide times to access Double Island Point along the Great Beach Drive. You can initiate an online booking to check the departure times.

If you have your own surfboard, then you can bring your own of course at no additional cost. Just let us know you are bringing a surfboard so we can make sure there is room on the trailer.
Please Note: We take great care in maintaining high-quality equipment for all guests. We ask that all participants treat equipment with care. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear may incur repair or replacement costs.
What level of surfer is this tour for?
This tour is best suited to beginner to intermediate surfers who are comfortable paddling, catching waves independently, and spending time in the ocean. If you’ve surfed before and want quality waves in a stunning, uncrowded location, this is the tour for you.
What makes Double Island Point special for surfing?
Double Island Point is famous for its long, peeling right-hand point break, and some of the longest in Australia. The waves are smooth, forgiving and ideal for relaxed, fun surfing in a spectacular national park setting.
What happens if the surf conditions aren’t suitable?
If conditions aren’t safe or suitable for surfing, we’ll contact you prior to departure to discuss and reschedule your tour or offer a full refund. Refund or rescheduling can only be done prior to departure.
Please note that there is no surf cam at Double Island Point. We won’t know the wave quality with 100% certainty before we get to the location.
What to bring?
Please bring what you would usually bring to the beach e.g: towel, sunscreen, water, camera, snacks, change of clothes. Also BYO surf board and wetsuit if required. Or you can use our surf equipment on request.
We recommend bringing some food along. We provide some light snacks after the surf, but it’s a 6 hour tour and lunch is not provided.
What time do tours depart?
Departure times from Noosa vary daily and are set around the low tide to access Double Island Point along Teewah beach. Please initiate an online booking below to see the departure times for each day.

Absolutely! The Explore & Play Adventure is one of our most family-friendly experiences and is perfect for young children.
Double Island Point features beautiful sheltered lagoons and shallow waters where little ones can safely splash, play, and explore under parental supervision. We can also provide bodyboards, beach toys, and other fun equipment on request to help keep children entertained throughout the day.
For families with adventurous kids, there are also gentle beginner waves that are ideal for introducing children to the ocean in a fun and relaxed environment. Combined with the scenic beach drive, wildlife spotting opportunities, and plenty of space to play, this tour is a fantastic day out for the whole family.

"My partner and I booked a paddleboarding adventure to Double Island Point and it did not disappoint! Our guides, Kevin and Seb, were fantastic and fun. The drive along the beach was a blast and we learned a lot about the area and wildlife. Once we were situated at Double Island Point, out came the paddleboards and we had a blast. Seb showed us lots of crabs, rays, and birds. We had a 1230 booking which meant we also just caught the sun setting, which was really the cherry on top. I can 💯 see myself coming back during whale season to kayak!"
